I am committed to supporting local businesses and attracting new investments in our city, which will create more opportunities for our residents and bolster our economy. That alone will not give us the type of sustainable growth we need moving into the future, which is why I have also taken the initiative to go beyond local governance for innovative policy driven solutions.

Addressing blight and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our city are crucial steps toward revitalizing our neighborhoods and improving overall quality of life. I was instrumental in identifying the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing as an avenue to help St Marys works towards eliminating blight in our community. Recognizing our rich historical heritage, I advocate for sustainable development practices that preserve our environment while promoting balanced growth. Sustainable development in historic communities like ours requires a delicate balance between preserving cultural heritage and addressing modern challenges.

One of the key accomplishments of my tenure on council was the creation of the St Marys Youth Council.  The St Marys youth must be engaged in the public policy process and their views and ideas should be reflected in the final outcome of what we do. The perspectives from young people should be represented. Youth engagement in municipal government is crucial for fostering civic responsibility, addressing youth-specific issues, and cultivating future leaders. By involving young people in decision-making processes, we can gain valuable insights, improve public services, and create a more inclusive community. 

I am dedicated to fostering a community where every voice is valued. Transparency and responsiveness in city governance are paramount to meeting the needs of our citizens.

Our city stands at a crossroads. We are a community steeped in history, with stories etched into every brick and corner. "As the city farthest from Atlanta, we often feel disconnected from the heart of our state. While this geographic distance can present challenges, it also offers unique opportunities. We have the chance to shape our own destiny, free from the constraints of a larger metropolis.
